$150K in Annenberg Grants for Three Florida Schools

While lack of funding for public schools continues to be a problem around the state, a private grant is opening new doors for three Florida schools.

Two elementary schools in South Florida, and one in Jacksonville, have been awarded game-changing grants from the Annenberg School Fund for Children: $50,000 for each, totaling $150,000 for the three schools.

The money will go towards arts and technology. Grant recipients are: Annabel C. Perry K-6 Center in Miramar, Myrtle Grove K-8 Center in Miami Gardens and Reynolds Lane Elementary in Jacksonville. These projects will impact local communities and alleviate some of the pressures mounting on an already strained system.
